Hi, I’m So Glad You’re Here: A Little About Me

If you’re reading this, welcome. I’m truly honored that you’ve found your way to Cloud & Ink — my creative studio, my passion project, and in many ways, an extension of who I am.

My name is Kourtni, and I’m the founder, designer, strategist, notary, and (yes!) wedding officiant behind the scenes here. But before all of those titles, I’m simply someone who loves people, storytelling, and creating things that feel like home.

Cloud & Ink was born from a desire to blend art and intention — to create a space where visual design, meaningful messaging, and human connection meet. It’s inspired by softness and strength, like a sky full of clouds and ink on a page. Together, they form the heart of what I do: helping people show up in the world with clarity, beauty, and confidence.

The Journey Here

My path hasn’t always been easy or linear. I’ve overcome a lot in my life — from a difficult childhood to rebuilding after an emotionally abusive marriage. In 2020, I finally stepped into my independence and started building the life I knew I deserved. Every step since has been a choice toward healing, toward creativity, and toward self-trust.

Design became my sanctuary. It gave me a way to express myself when words failed — and a way to help others tell their stories with power and purpose. I’ve always been someone who notices the small things: the colors in a sunset, the way someone’s logo doesn’t quite match their spirit, the feeling you get when something just clicks. That’s what I chase in my work — those clicks. The moments when form meets function, when a design makes someone say, “Yes. That’s me.”

I’m currently earning my degree in Advertising and Graphic Design, and it’s been one of the most empowering experiences of my life. Pairing formal education with real-world client work has allowed me to bring both structure and soul into everything I do.

What I Believe

I believe in kindness over ego, in professionalism rooted in humanity, and in the power of design to shift perception and spark emotion. I believe business can be beautiful and strategic. I believe everyone deserves to be seen and heard, especially those carving out their own path in the world.

I especially love working with small businesses, nonprofits, artists, and those who feel like outsiders trying to build something true. If that’s you — I see you. You’re why I do what I do.

Beyond the Screen

When I’m not designing, you can find me curled up with a good book, cuddling my rescue pets (I’ve fostered over 20 dogs in my life), writing poetry, going to museums with my fiancé, or having deep conversations about the nature of humanity and the need for softness in a hard world.

I also officiate weddings, because I believe in love — all kinds of love — and the beauty of creating sacred moments that are full of meaning and magic. Whether I’m helping someone say “I do” or building their brand from the ground up, my goal is always the same: to make people feel empowered, understood, and inspired.

As an added bonus let me introduce my little family. My Fiancé Nathan is studying for Cyber Security at Southern New Hampshire University while also working full time in the mortgage industry. Together we have 4 dogs and 2 cats. The dogs are by age Arya a 14 year old German Shephard mix, Harvey a 8 year old Boxer Lab Mix, Maggie a 7 year old Great Dane, and Hefty our youngest he is a 7 month old Aussie Mix. Our cats are Dani 11 years old and Stitch 3 years old bot little ladies.
